PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon
reports the arrest of Kentrell Sanders, 36, of 5768 Highway 308 Plattenville,
LA, in connection with a residential burglary on April 27, 2017 near
On that date, the Sheriff’s Office responded to the
burglary complaint. Investigators noted
forced entry had been made into the home and numerous firearms and other items
had been stolen from the interior of the residence. An all-terrain vehicle was stolen from the
property as well.
Through investigation, Kentrell Sanders was identified
as a suspect in the burglary.
Detectives recovered some of the stolen items
including the ATV.
Sanders, already in jail on an unrelated burglary
count, was charged on Thursday with the April 27th incident. The more recent charges include:
Burglary of An Inhabited Dwelling
of a Motor Vehicle
During the burglary investigation, detectives
discovered that Sanders exchanged multiple messages of sexual contact with a
15-year-old via social media in May of this year. The messages were retrieved and as a result,
Sanders was charged with computer aided solicitation of a minor. Sanders was additionally charged with
Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
Sanders remains in the Assumption Parish Detention
Center. Awaiting a bond hearing.
