TRAFFIC STOP - NARCOTICS OFFENSES - Wednesday, March 29, 2017

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Quintero Jupiter, 31, of 611 North Canal Blvd., Thibodaux, LA, on numerous charges resulting from a traffic incident on March 24, 2017 in Napoleonville, LA.

A uniformed patrol division officer was working an area in Napoleonville, LA, when he observed a vehicle commit multiple traffic violations. The deputy interviewed the driver and was able to identify him as Quintero Jupiter. The interviewing officer obtained consent from Jupiter to search the vehicle and during the search, the officer located a substantial amount of MDMA (Ecstasy) as well as a quantity of meth-amphetamine.

As deputies attempted to take Jupiter into custody, he ran off and was able to evade the pursuing deputies.

Warrants were issued for Jupiter’s arrest and he turned himself into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on Tuesday night. Jupiter was placed under arrest and booked on charges of:

*Resisting an Officer

*Flight from an Officer

*Improper Turning and Signaling

*Stop Sign Violation

*Possession with Intent to Distribute MDMA (Ecstasy)

*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine

Jupiter was jailed pending bond hearing.
