TRAFFIC STOP - NARCOTICS ARREST - Monday, January 30, 2017

BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Henry Andrew Demby, IV late Sunday night on traffic and narcotics related charges.

A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle on LA 1 in Belle Rose commit a traffic violation. The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified Demby as the driver. The deputy conducted an interview of Demby which led to the search of Demby’s vehicle. As a result of that search, a quantity of marijuana and paraphernalia was seized. A criminal history check indicated that Demby had 4 prior arrests for marijuana possession.

Demby was placed under arrest, transported to the parish jail and booked on charges of:

*Possession of Marijuana - Third or Subsequent Offense (Felony)

*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

*Headlamps Required

Demby was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
