RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY - Friday, January 27, 2017

BELLE ROSE Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Taijon Smith, 17, of 213 Highway 1003, Shemar Williams 19, of 169 Daggs Street, both of Belle Rose, LA and a juvenile in connection with a January 4, 2017 residential burglary on Freetown Lane in Belle Rose.

Detectives conducted an investigation after the homeowner reported that a firearm as well as a variety of other items were stolen from the residence after the suspects entered through a window. Investigators processed the crime scene and evidence recovered was linked to the suspects.

Detectives obtained arrest warrants for the three suspects and they were arrested on Wednesday, January 25, 2017. Smith and Williams were booked into the parish jail on charges of:

*Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling

They are both awaiting a bond hearing.

The juvenile was booked on the same charge and released to the custody of his parents.
