NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Kenneth M. Moore, Jr., 26, of 316 Telegraph St, Napoleonville, on a variety of charges. Moore walked into the Sheriff’s Main Office on Tuesday to pay fines associated with outstanding criminal warrants. When Moore learned he was also wanted on charges from Ascension Parish, he attempted to flee. Moore encountered a deputy and the two struggled for a brief period before Moore fled again. Moore turned himself into the Sheriff’s Office the next day.
Moore was arrested and booked into the parish detention center on charges of:
*Battery on a Police Officer (Felony)
*Resisting an Officer by Force or Violence (Felony)
*Fugitive Warrants for Ascension Parish For:
*2nd Degree Battery
*Aggravated Assault with a Firearm
*Obstruction of Justice
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Moore was jailed pending a bond hearing in Assumption Parish. Bond for Ascension Parish was set at $70,000. Moore is also wanted for failure to appear in Lafourche Parish.
