NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Charles Nora, 50, of 118 Belle Point Lane, Napoleonville and Robert Smith, 47, of 114 Felton Lane, Paincourtville on drug related charges following the execution of a search warrant on Thursday.
As part of an ongoing parish wide crack down on drug dealers, Nora had been a target of the ongoing probe. As a result of Thursday’s search warrant executed on Nora’s home, investigators seized a substantial quantity of marijuana and a minimal amount of MDMA (Ecstasy). Smith was present at the time of the arrest of Nora and after interviewing Smith, agents did seize marijuana off of Smith’s person as well as cocaine and drug paraphernalia from his vehicle.
Both Nora and Smith were arrested and transported to the parish detention center.
Nora was booked on charges of:
*Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
*Possession of MDMA (Ecstasy)
Smith was booked on counts of:
*Possession of Cocaine
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Possession of Marijuana (2nd Offense Felony)
Both were incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
Charles Nora was out on bond at the time of this arrest for marijuana and cocaine possession charges in Lafourche Parish.
