CONTRABAND NARCOTICS ARREST - Friday, September 30, 2016
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of six people accused of introducing contraband, including illegal drugs into the Parish Detention Center.
Assumption Sheriff’s Investigators initiated an investigation several weeks ago after alert corrections employees reported suspicious activities outside the facility perimeter. The investigation revealed that contraband was being delivered to areas outside the facility by individuals and then distributed inside the facility by at least two inmates.
Based upon an extensive investigation, Sheriff’s Detectives identified and filed arrest warrants against six suspects. The suspects and their charges are as follows:
Amber Stevens, 22, of 2471 Hwy. 308, Labadieville, LA was arrested Thursday, September 29th and booked on counts of:
​*2 Counts – Introducing Contraband into a Penal Institution
​*1 Count – Distribution of Marijuana
​*1 Count – Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Ashley Robichaux, 27, 933 Brule Guillot Road, Thibodaux, LA was arrested Thursday, September 29th and booked on counts of:
*1 Count – Introducing Contraband into a Penal Institution
*1 Count – Distribution of Marijuana
*1 Count – Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Jaycee Rentrop, 21, of 340 Hwy. 663, Bayou L’Ourse, LA was arrested Thursday, September 29th and booked on counts of:
​*1 Count – Criminal Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
​*1 Count – Criminal Conspiracy to Introduce Contraband into a Penal Institution
Beau Matte, 26, 149 Pond Drive, Bayou L’Ourse, LA was booked on counts of:
​*1 Count – Criminal Conspiracy to Possess Marijuana
​*1 Count – Criminal Conspiracy to Introduce Contraband into a Penal Institution
Drake Geisler, 22, 175 Andras Street, Bayou L’Ourse, LA was booked on counts of:
​*1 Count – Criminal Conspiracy to Possess Marijuana
​*1 Count – Criminal Conspiracy to Introduce Contraband into a Penal Institution
Billy Chapman, Jr., 29, 1822 Plantation Avenue, Lot 4, Port Allen, LA was booked on counts of:
​*1 Count – Introducing Contraband into a Penal Institution
​*1 Count – Criminal Conspiracy to Introduce Contraband into a Penal Institution
All six suspects were incarcerated pending bond hearings
Beau Matte was already in jail on theft and criminal damage charges.
Billy Chapman was already incarcerated on theft and monetary instrument abuse charges.
Drake Geisler was being held on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of meth-amphetamine, theft and numerous boating violations.
