TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS - NARCOTICS ARREST - Wednesday, July 6, 2016

Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reported the arrest of Ray Madere, age 53, of 5494 Hwy. 308, Plattenville on drug charges related to a traffic stop.

A patrol deputy observed Madere operating a 4 wheeler on LA.1 near Bertrandville. The deputy initiated a traffic stop during which Madere fled into Bayou Lafourche but was quickly apprehended upon exiting Bayou Lafourche by responding officers.

They Deputy initiating the traffic stop observed Madere drop several items while entering Bayou Lafourche. These items included a quantity of methamphetamines.

Madere was placed under arrest and transported to the parish jail and booked on the following charges:

*Possession of Methamphetamine

*Resisting an Officer

*Operating an Off Road Vehicle on the Roadway

Bond had not been set at the time of releases.
