Fugitive Suspected Arrested - I.C.E. UNIT Arrest - Thursday, August 8, 2019

SUBJECT:      FUGITIVE SUSPECT ARRESTED I.C.E. UNIT ARREST

 

 

PLATTENVILLE Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jermaine Moland, 36, of 195 Ewell Street, Belle Rose, LA, on charges following a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon.

 

I.C.E. Unit deputies observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation near a Plattenville business and initiated a stop.  As the deputy proceeded to interview the driver, he attempted to run but was quickly apprehended.

 

The suspect, now identified as Jermaine Moland was placed under arrest. 

 

A warrants check revealed that Jermaine Moland was a felony fugitive wanted in multiple jurisdictions.

 

Moland was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

 

            *Turning Signals Required

            *Resisting an Officer

            *Failure to Appear in Assumption Parish (Theft)

            *Fugitive (Lafourche Parish)

            *Fugitive (City of Gonzales)

 

Moland was incarcerated in lieu of a cash bond of $100 and surety bond of $2,100.

 

Upon satisfying local charges, Moland will be transferred over to the other jurisdictions to face those charges.
