Drug Law Violation / Traffic Stop - Wednesday, June 19, 2019

                        TRAVIS SKEEN

 

 

BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Travis Skeen, 30, of 606 Aristle Road, Bayou L’Ourse, LA, on drug law violations following a Tuesday traffic stop.

 

Deputies assigned to the Sheriff’s I.C.E. Unit observed a vehicle commit multiple traffic violations and executed a stop of the vehicle on Aristle Road.

 

Deputies identified the driver and, in that process, identified the passenger as Travis Skeen.

 

During the interview process, officers noted Skeen and the driver acting nervous and disoriented.  During the interview, deputies learned that suspected meth-amphetamine had been thrown out of the car window as deputies approached.

 

A search of the area yielded a quantity of meth-amphetamine which was assessed to Skeen after determining that he had thrown the drugs out of the vehicle.

 

Travis Skeen was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

           

            *Possession of Meth-Amphetamine

 

He is currently awaiting a bond hearing.  Skeen has a history of drug law arrests.
