Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling - Wednesday, June 5, 2019

SUBJECT:      SIMPLE BURGLARY OF AN INHABITED DWELLING

ASSUMPTION Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Brandon J. Punch, 33, of 3071 Bayou Dularge Road, Theriot, LA, on charges related to a residential burglary near Labadieville on September 12, 2017.

 

Responding deputies determined that unlawful entry had been made into the residence through a window and a large screen television was stolen.

 

Detectives conducted a follow-up investigation and interviewed multiple witnesses.  Detectives also seized scientific evidence from the scene.  Based on all factors combined, detectives issued warrants for Charles Adam Gros, 34, of 3037 Bayou Dularge Road, Theriot, LA and Brandon J. Punch.

 

Charles Adam Gros was previously arrested and incarcerated on a charge of Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling.  Gros posted bond on May 11, 2018 in the amount of $20,000.

 

Charges on Brandon Punch remained outstanding.  Brandon J. Punch was arrested by Terrebonne Parish authorities on Tuesday.  He was transported to Assumption Parish Tuesday and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on:

 

            *Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling (1 Count)

 

Punch remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
