SUBJECT:      DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – RONTRELL JOHNSON

 

 

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Rontrell Johnson, 22, of 211 Cardinal Street, Labadieville, LA, on drug law violations following an investigative stop in Labadieville.

Based upon information developed as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation, agents made contact with a group of individuals hovered around a stopped vehicle near Labadieville.

Agents made contact with those present including Rontrell Johnson.  Deputies noted an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle’s door. 

After conducting an interview, deputies requested the assistance of the K-9 Division.  An open-air sweep of the vehicle was conducted which produced a positive alert for the presence of narcotics.

A search of the vehicle netted a seizure of a quantity of Alprazolam.  Based on those findings and investigative determinations, Rontrell Johnson was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

            *Possession of Alprazolam with Intent to Distribute

Rontrell Johnson was incarcerated and bond was set at $25,000.  Rontrell Johnson is a convicted felon.
