Second Arrest in Lake Verret Camp Burglaries - Friday, May 3, 2019

SUBJECT:      SECOND ARREST IN LAKE VERRET CAMP BURGLARIES

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Joshua Becnel, 29, of 102 Roundtree Lane, Thibodaux, LA, in connection with camp burglaries on Lake Verret which occurred around August 3, 2018.

Joshua Becnel is one of three individuals suspected in the camp burglaries. Items that were stolen were found in a camp the three had frequented.

Joshua Becnel was taken into custody and booked into the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on charges of:

            *Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling (Felony – 2 Counts)

Becnel is currently awaiting a bond hearing.

Blake Boudreaux, 29, of 306 Elm Street, Thibodaux, LA, was previously arrested and charged with the burglaries.  He was released on April 26, 2019, after posting a $20,000 surety bond.

Another suspect, Bryce Boudreaux, is still at large.  Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Boudreaux is urged to contact the Detective Bureau at (985) 526-1627 or Dispatch at (985) 369-2912.
