I.C.E. Unit Arrests - Possession of Heroin - Wednesday, April 24, 2019

SUBJECT:      I.C.E. UNIT ARRESTS - POSSESSION OF HEROIN

                        GRACE MARIE MOLLERE and BRANDEN JOSEPH LANDRY

 

NAPOLEONVILLE Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Grace Marie Mollere, 23, of 208 Heriard Street, Plattenville, LA and Branden Joseph Landry, 32, of 3203 Highway 70, Pierre Part, LA, on felony drug charges following a traffic stop by the I.C.E. Unit on Tuesday evening.

I.C.E. Unit deputies observed a northbound vehicle on LA 308 near Paincourtville commit a traffic violation and executed a traffic stop.  The violator vehicle was occupied by three people.  Deputies questioned the driver and at some point, made contact with the passengers who were identified as Grace Marie Mollere and Branden Joseph Landry.

Officers noted that the occupants were acting nervously and were unable to follow simple instructions.

A K-9 unit conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics.  Deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and the area near the vehicle and seized a quantity of heroin.

Based upon information developed during the process, Grace Marie Mollere and Branden Joseph Landry were both arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

            *Possession of Heroin

Both were incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
