Traffic Stop / Drug Law Violations - Friday, March 22, 2019

SUBJECT:      TRAFFIC STOP / DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS KEVIN TRUEHILL

 

 

NAPOLEONVILLE Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Kevin Truehill, 35, of 706B Jefferson Street, Napoleonville, LA, on numerous drug and traffic related offenses related to a midday traffic stop near Napoleonville.

 

A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation in Napoleonville and proceeded to stop the vehicle.

 

The driver was identified as Kevin Truehill.

 

At the time of the stop, the deputy noted an odor of suspected marijuana emitting from the vehicle as well as illegal narcotics in plain view.

 

The deputy interviewed Truehill and based on that interview as well as other observations, the suspect vehicle was searched.  As a result of that search, drug paraphernalia, marijuana and a notable amount of MDMA (Ecstasy) was seized.

 

Truehill was arrested and booked on charges of:

 

            *Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

            *Illegal Window Tint

            *Obstruction of Justice

            *Expired Vehicle Registration

*Switched License Plate

*Possession of Marijuana (2nd Offense)

*Possession with Intent to Distribute MDMA (Ecstasy)

 

Truehill was incarcerated in the Assumption Parish Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
