High-Water Conditions - Wednesday, March 13, 2019

SUBJECT:      HIGH-WATER CONDITIONS

 

 

NAPOLEONVILLE – Due to current high-water conditions, we remind everyone that the "NO WAKE ZONE” is in effect for any and all areas of the parish.  This includes any areas where homes, camps or structures are located.

 

As the conditions continue to deteriorate, "Idle speed only”, in high-water areas will need to be adhered to by the general public.

 

Additionally, please be mindful that numerous roadways are becoming affected by high-water conditions.  If you do not live in those areas, please do not attempt to travel those roadways as we expect any wave action to affect homes in those areas.

 

Please be respectful of everyone’s personal property in flood prone areas.

 

We expect these conditions to persists for the foreseeable future and we will work in conjunction with the Office of Emergency Preparedness to update the public as needed.
