Domestic Complaint - Arrest - Monday, March 11, 2019

SUBJECT:      DOMESTIC COMPLAINT – ARREST – TAKEYA MONAI HOLLOWAY

 

 

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Takeya Monai Holloway, 26, of 402 Willow Street, Labadieville, LA, late Thursday on charges related to a domestic incident.

 

On Thursday morning, deputies were dispatched to the aforementioned address in connection to a boyfriend / girlfriend domestic dispute.

 

Upon arrival, deputies interviewed a witness who indicated that Takeya Monai Holloway and her boyfriend were engaged in an argument and at some point, Holloway pointed a gun at the other engaged subject as well as at the witness.  At that point, Holloway locked herself in a bedroom and would not respond to deputies’ commands to exit.

 

The Communications Division made contact with Holloway via cell phone and were able to convince Holloway to give herself up.  Holloway was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

           

            *Domestic Abuse Battery / Aggravated Assault

            *Aggravated Assault with a Firearm

 

A handgun was recovered at the scene.  Holloway was released after posting a $40,000 bond.
