Traffic Stop / Drug Law Violations - Thursday, February 7, 2019

SUBJECT:      TRAFFIC STOP / DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS WESLEY RICHARD BASS

 

 

LABADIEVILLE Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Wesley Richard Bass, 21, of 141 Reba Lane, Haughton, LA, on drug related charges following a traffic stop shortly after noon on Tuesday.

 

Narcotics officers observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on LA 1 near Labadieville and conducted an investigative stop.

 

Upon coming into contact with the driver, Wesley Richard Bass, the subject had no drivers license.  As agents addressed Bass, they noted him to be acting nervously, as well as other observations that were concerning.

 

At some point, Bass consented to a search of his vehicle and agents also conducted a pat down search of his person.  During those processes, a considerable quantity of meth-amphetamine was seized.

 

Wesley Richard Bass was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

 

            *Roadway Laned for Traffic

            *Possession with Intent to Distribute Meth-Amphetamine

 

Bass remains incarcerated with bond set at $15,000 and he faces a probation / parole violation.
