Resisting Arrest / Warrants for Monetary Instrument Abuse - Monday, February 4, 2019

SUBJECT:      RESISTING ARREST / WARRANTS FOR MONETARY INSTRUMENT
 ABUSE                               

                                      DWAYNE RAINEY, JR.

 

 

BELLE ROSE Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Dwayne Rainey, Jr., 38, of 109 Highway 1002, Belle Rose, LA, following a foot pursuit on Saturday.

Uniformed patrol deputies attempted to execute an arrest warrant on Rainey in the Village of Napoleonville on Saturday.

As deputies approached Rainey to arrest him on a felony warrant, he fled on foot.

Deputies gave chase and arrested Rainey a short time later.

Rainey was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

            *Monetary Instrument Abuse (3 Counts)

            *Resisting Arrest (2 Counts)

            *Failure to Appear on Charges of Criminal Neglect of Family

Rainey remains incarcerated in lieu of $5,100 bond.
