NAPOLEONVILLE
– Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Winfred W.
Millien, Jr., 47, of 3336 Highway 1, Napoleonville, LA, on domestic and sex
crime charges related to an incident occurring on January 20, 2019.
On
that date, the Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance complaint at a
location near Napoleonville.
Deputies
initiated an investigation after receiving information that Winfred Millien
allegedly raped an individual that was known to him on January 20, 2019.
Detectives
conducted a crime scene investigation and did recover evidence consistent with
the accusations lodged against Millien.
Based
on the victim’s statement, her injuries, evidence recovered at the crime scene
and other factors, detectives obtained arrest warrants for Millien.
The
suspect was arrested on Sunday, January 21, 2019 and booked into the Assumption
Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Domestic Abuse Battery
*False Imprisonment
Millien
was rearrested on Wednesday on a related charge of First-Degree Rape.
He
is incarcerated in the Assumption Parish Detention Center pending bond
proceedings.
