Driving While Intoxicated - Wednesday, January 2, 2019

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Anthony Harris, 53, of 150 Pecan Street, Napoleonville, LA, on Saturday morning following an investigation by Sheriff’s deputies.

 

On Saturday at approximately 9:45 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office dispatched deputies to investigate a suspicious vehicle at a Napoleonville business.

 

Deputies were able to located the vehicle and attempted to interview the driver. As deputies approached the vehicle, the driver accelerated and ran into an ice storage unit.

 

Deputies identified the driver as Anthony Harris.  Deputies attempted to interview Harris but was not successful due to his notable intoxication.

 

Harris refused field sobriety testing as well as intoxilyzer testing.

 

Harris was transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center where he was booked on charges of driving while intoxicated, fourth offense by refusal.

 

Harris remains incarcerated in lieu of $50,000 bond.
