Residential Contractor Fraud - Wednesday, December 12, 2018

SUBJECT:      RESIDENTIAL CONTRACTOR FRAUD - ANDREW MCKINLEY

 

 

BELLE ROSE Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Andrew McKinley, 65, of 124 Ewell Street, Belle Rose, LA, on contractor fraud charges.

 

On November 26, 2018, detectives initiated an investigation relative to residential contractor fraud in the Belle Rose area.  During the course of the investigation, detectives determined that Andrew McKinley entered into a contract with a residential homeowner to perform remodeling work on a home owned by the victim.

 

The victim paid McKinley to perform the work according to the contracted amount, but the suspect failed to perform the majority of the work.

 

On December 10, 2018, detectives located McKinley at his home and arrested him on a warrant for Residential Contractor Fraud.  During the investigation, detectives determined that McKinley was wanted in St. James parish for residential contractor fraud.

 

McKinley was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.

 

Upon satisfying the Assumption Parish charges, McKinley will be sent to St. James Parish to face those charges.
