                        DARIN J. DAVIS

PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Darin J. Davis, 29, of 120 Davis Street, Paincourtville, LA, on outstanding warrants for drug law violations relating to "Operation Summer Heat” earlier this year.

"Operation Summer Heat” targeted major drug dealers parish wide.  As a result of "Operation Summer Heat”, narcotics agents did have interactions with Darin Davis resulting in arrest warrants being filed against him for distribution of cocaine.

Davis eluded authorities for some time.  Agents developed information recently that Davis was in the Donaldsonville area.

On November 27, 2018, agents from Assumption and Ascension Parishes converged on a location near Donaldsonville and were able to arrest Davis. Davis was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail as a fugitive from Assumption and then transferred to the Assumption Parish Detention Center where he was booked on charges of:

            *Distribution of Cocaine

            *Flight from an Officer

            *Parole Violations

Davis is being held on a $15,000 bond but faces a parole hold.
