TRAFFIC STOP – RONALDO N. GILTON
NAPOLEONVILLE
– Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Ronaldo N.
Gilton, 33, of 136 Georgette Street, Napoleonville, LA, following a traffic
stop by narcotics agents.
At
approximately 11:30 p.m. Sunday, agents observed a vehicle commit a traffic
violation on Highway 1 south of Napoleonville.
Agents executed a stop of the vehicle and made contact with the driver,
identified as Ronaldo N. Gilton. Agents
noted a strong odor of suspected marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Additional observations led to the discovery
of the drug MDMA (Ecstasy) in plain view.
Based
on all of the above factors, additional observations by the agents as well as
inculpatory statements made by Gilton, he was arrested, transported to the
Assumption Parish Detention Center and booked on charges of:
*Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
*Driving Under Suspension
*Possession of Marijuana (1st
Offense-Misdemeanor)
*Possession of MDMA (Ecstasy)
Gilton
was incarcerated in lieu of $5000 bond.
