Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property - Tuesday, November 20, 2018

LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jonathan Patrick Carter, 20, of 212 Willowdale Drive, Gray, LA, on charges related to a shooting incident at an apartment complex near Labadieville, LA.

On or about May 13, 2018, sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to an area off of LA 1 near Labadieville.  Upon arrival, investigating officers determined that someone had fired multiple gunshots striking an apartment building.  Deputies were able to recover evidence at the scene.

Follow-up investigations revealed that Jonathan Patrick Carter, who had some familiarity with the alleged victim, had sent threatening messages via text a short time before the shooting incident.  Detectives established other evidence linking Carter to the crime.  Based on all relevant factors, detectives requested and obtained arrest warrants charging Carter with:

* Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property (1 Count)

 

On November 10, 2018, Carter was arrested by Thibodaux Police, transported to Assumption Parish and booked accordingly.  Carter posted bond of $10,000.
