Louisiana Automated Victim Notification System - Friday, November 2, 2018

SUBJECT:      LOUISIANA AUTOMATED VICTIM NOTIFICATION SYSTEM

 

 

NAPOLEONVILLE – On Monday, Briana Blanchard, of the Louisiana Commission on Law-Enforcement, was in town to instruct deputies as to what requirements need to be met relative to the Louisiana Automated Victim Notification System or (LAVNS).

 

The course taught deputies Louisiana law pertaining to basic rights for victims and witnesses and what exactly are the duties of law-enforcement as far as victims are concerned.  The training addressed changes to the existing law in the current reporting system.

 

The class is yet another training opportunity deputies have been provided by Sheriff Falcon in his continuing commitment to improve the operations of the Sheriff’s Office.
