Hit and Run / Aggravated Flight - Monday, October 29, 2018

SUBJECT:      HIT AND RUN / AGGRAVATED FLIGHT DEMETRES MILLER

 

 

NAPOLEONVILLE Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Demetres Miller, 45, of 3376 Back Marrais Lane, Napoleonville, LA, on charges related to a Friday evening hit and run south of Napoleonville.

 

Deputies were dispatched to the area of LA 308 at the LA 1010 bridge in connection with a hit and run crash.  At the time, deputies were provided a description of a suspect vehicle headed north on LA 308.  A responding unit spotted the suspect vehicle and pursued the vehicle into the village of Napoleonville and continuing onto LA 401.

 

The suspect abandoned the vehicle off of LA 401, but was apprehended sometime later near Johnson Street.  At the time, Demetres Miller was identified as the hit and run suspect.

 

Demetres Miller was arrested, transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center and booked on charges of:       

 

            *Aggravated Flight from an Officer

 

            *Hit and Run

 

            *Improper Turning

 

            *No Drivers License

 

            *Disregarding a Stop Sign (4 Counts)

 

Miller was incarcerated in lieu of $5,000 bond.
