LABADIEVILLE – On Thursday evening, Chez Hope, a local organization that works hard to defeat domestic violence, gave a touching tribute at the Labadieville Fire Department’s annual "Night Out Against Crime”.

Each pair of shoes in the photographs represents a victim killed by domestic violence in the past year in Louisiana.  Victims included women, men, and children of all ages.

Chez Hope has a local representative stationed at the Sheriff’s Main office on Franklin Street and is open Monday thru Friday.  The local office manager is Amber Daigle.

The Thursday night event included a candlelight vigil.

Sheriff Falcon thanks Chez Hope for their important work in combating domestic violence.
