Residential Burglary - Wednesday, October 17, 2018

BELLE ROSE Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jonquel Juan Marshall, 19, of 209 Highway 1003, Belle Rose, LA, in connection with a residential burglary which occurred on August 30, 2017 near Belle Rose.

This marks the second arrest in the case.  At the time of the burglary, deputies and detectives responded and initiated an investigation.  The homeowner reported that forced entry had been made while he was away and a number of items were recovered from the home.

One suspect, Tyrik Jones, 20, of 218 Daggs Street, Belle Rose, LA, was arrested shortly after the incident.  Detectives obtained arrest warrants on Jonquel Juan Marshall, but he had left the area.  At some point, Marshall was arrested in Iberia Parish on unrelated charges.  Upon satisfying the Iberia Parish charges, Marshall was transported to Assumption Parish.  He was charged with:

            *Simple Burglary

He remains incarcerated and awaits a bond hearing.

Detectives anticipate at least one more arrest.
