SUBJECT: FELONY THEFT – ANTHONY JONES
BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon
reports the arrest of Anthony Jones, 37, of 1007 Nolan Street, Donaldsonville,
LA, on charges related to a theft which occurred on or about August 28, 2018,
near Belle Rose, LA.
On that date, deputies responded to a complaint near
Belle Rose regarding the theft of items from a shed owned by a local resident.
Deputies initiated an investigation and spoke to the
victim as well as potential witnesses.
As a result of that investigation, deputies identified
Anthony Jones as a suspect.
An arrest warrant was obtained for Jones. Shortly following the theft incident, Jones
was arrested on other charges in Ascension Parish.
Jones was released to Assumption Parish on
Friday. He was booked into the
Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Felony
Theft
*Warrant
for Failure to Appear on Charges of D.W. I. and Other Traffic Related Offenses
Jones remains incarcerated in lieu of a $10,000 surety
bond and a cash bond of $850.
