DATE:             THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2018
TO:                  ALL MEDIA OUTLETS
FROM:            SHERIFF LELAND FALCON
SUBJECT:      LO/JACK STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERY SYSTEM

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon is pleased to announce that Lo/Jack, a stolen vehicle recovery system corporation, has donated four, Lo/Jack systems to the Sheriff’s Office which are currently being installed in patrol units.

This is how Lo/Jack works:

If you have a Lo/Jack tracking system in your automobile and you report your car stolen to law-enforcement, your vehicle’s information is loaded into a national database and activates your Lo/Jack unit which emits a radio frequency.  That high range signal is then tracked by the police Lo/Jack tracking device.  Lo/Jack has a 90% success rate and is the only stolen vehicle recovery system integrated with law enforcement.

Sheriff Falcon hopes to secure additional Lo/Jack units for patrol cars to combat a billion dollar per year crime.
