NAPOLEONVILLE – On Sunday, September 9, 2018, Nelson Chapel AME Church of Napoleonville, LA, held the Third Annual First Responders Appreciation Day.

The event honors first responders for their sacrifice and commitment to the safety and welfare of the general public.

The Sunday services at Nelson Chapel featured a special guest with a unique mission.  A 9-year-old girl from Hammond, LA was on hand.  This is a very special young lady who was present at Sunday’s services for the purpose of "Hugging a Police Officer”.

Roslyn as she is named, is on a mission to hug a police officer in every state of the union.  To date, Roslyn has accomplished the task in 35 states and is determined to reach this goal.

Roslyn has a website and can be viewed at Info@RosalynLoves.com and she also has a facebook page that can be accessed at Rosalynloves.

Sheriff Falcon would like to express sincere appreciation to Nelson Chapel for putting on Sunday’s event.
