Fugitive - Drug Law Violation - Monetary Instrument Abuse - Monday, September 10, 2018

CURTIS ROSS

 

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Curtis Ross, 36, of 313 Oakshire Drive, Houma, LA, late Friday afternoon following a traffic stop.

A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle towing another vehicle southbound near Napoleonville.  The deputy stopped the vehicles after noticing the tow strap to be unsafe.

The deputy identified Curtis Ross as the driver of one of the vehicles.  The deputy ordered a criminal history on Ross and the check identified Ross as a fugitive from Terrebonne Parish wanted on felony drug charges, obstruction of justice and failure to appear for a probation revocation hearing. The deputy placed Ross under arrest and proceeded to do a pat down search of Ross’ person.  In doing so, deputies confiscated marijuana and 23 counterfeit $20 bills.

Ross was arrested, transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center and booked on charges of:

            *Possession of Marijuana

            *Monetary Instrument Abuse (23 Counts)

            *Fugitive from Terrebonne Parish

Curtis Ross was incarcerated and awaits a bond hearing.
