Theft of a Motor Vehicle - Tuesday, August 7, 2018

SUBJECT:      THEFT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE RONNIE P. METREJEAN

 

PIERRE PART Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Ronnie P. Metrejean, 48, of 116 Angela Street, Pierre Part, LA, in connection with theft of an automobile.

On or about June 15, 2018, deputies responded to a reported theft of a motor vehicle in December of 2017.

The alleged victim reported that at the time, he left the vehicle parked on the side of the road due to a bad tire.  When he returned for it, the 2004 GMC truck was gone.

Follow-up investigation revealed that the accused, Ronnie Metrejean had called a salvage yard and had the company pick up the truck.  The salvage company paid $100 to Metrejean for the pick-up truck. 

The probable cause for arrest statement was provided by the complainant.

Metrejean was arrested on Monday night and was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on a felony count of:

            *Theft of a Motor Vehicle

He remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
