Residential Burglary - Thursday, July 5, 2018

BERTRANDVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Trey Andrews, 26, of 119A Bertrand Street, Napoleonville, LA, in connection with a May 10, 2018 residential burglary on Highway 1.

On May 10, 2018, deputies were dispatched to a residential burglary and did determine that forced entry had been made into the home and that violators had stolen a number of items.

While investigating a second burglary in the same area, detectives recovered evidence stolen from the first burglary at the home of Trey Andrews.

At that time, Andrews was charged with one count of misdemeanor theft and was released.

As the investigation moved forward, detectives obtained and executed a search warrant at Andrews’ home.

During the investigation, detectives interviewed Andrews at which time he admitted to his participation in the Bertrandville burglary.

Andrews was arrested on July 4, 2018 and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on:

            *Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling (One Count)

He remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
